I mostly race GT3 and GT4.
Im working on my braking and steering angles but what I really struggle with is with the logics of setups.

I hope we get to see this in the upcoming course.

Comment on Overtaking in F1: How to Overtake Like Ricciardo by Jorge Javier https://driver61.com/blog/how-to-overtake-like-ricciardo/#comment-97933 Sat, 11 Apr 2020 19:30:46 +0000 https://driver61.com/?p=964619#comment-97933 I think it is true: Daniel Ricciardo is one of the best overtaker. It is true when he changed from Red Bull to Renault the difference between the two cars made his life a bit less easy.

What he makes quite difficult to leave behind, it is he is quick in changing line before a turn and to delay the braking.

Comment on Are You Braking Too Early? Here’s How To Find Massive Lap Time. by KenR https://driver61.com/blog/are-you-braking-too-early/#comment-97493 Wed, 04 Dec 2019 16:55:37 +0000 https://driver61.com/?p=964717#comment-97493 I like your braking ideas but,!
My son does Hillclimb in a quick car, so there are no laps to lower the breaking distance and effectively each run is on cold, but sticky, tyres. Usually there are two practice runs where some feel for traction , and braking points can be figured out, so effectively you need to get it right first time on a narrow track.
Have you any suggestions for a considered approach to lowering times? At the moment it revolves round the quickest possible launch, then trying to remove the errors on the practice runs to better the times!

Really like the last, and so obvious point – but how many drivers don’t consciously adapt after a fast/slow exit previously? Cheers

Comment on Budget to Racer: What are the Best Track Day Helmets? by Tony Apsion https://driver61.com/blog/what-are-the-best-track-day-helmets/#comment-97283 Fri, 20 Sep 2019 16:01:31 +0000 https://driver61.com/?p=59013#comment-97283 In answer to Chris Wyness – Yes, of course it is (as long as you also have a HANS Helmet and full harness belts). I wear one all the time on a trackday, even as passenger. I don’t care if I look like a dork, because the real dork would be the person with a broken neck, with their HANS device tucked up in the garage doing nothing.
